Frequently Asked Questions

What should a session look like?

Treatment sessions are designed to be conducted one-on-one (1:1), with one therapist and one child ratio. Sessions are guided by Treatment plans that have been developed specifically for your child based on his or her needs and treatment goals. These plans are guidelines for the therapists about how to achieve these goals through various activities. Periodically throughout the session, the ABA therapist will give your child a break (engagement in a self-directed, productive activity).

During this time your ABA therapist will take data and organize additional teaching materials. In the last fifteen (15) minutes of a session, our ABA therapists will take the time to answer any and all questions you might have, and discuss with you how the session went.

Who would be involved in my child’s session?

B.A.T.A. Developmental Services' sessions  involve a BCBA, a Program Supervisor and a Behavior Therapist.

Where are sessions conducted?

Majority of your child's sessions will be conducted at home with a Behavior Technician.

A responsible adult, age 18 or older must be present, and in the room during all treatment sessions.

Do you accept insurance?

We are partnered with several insurance carriers. We do ask that you check your child's insurance coverage when availing our services.

If you do not have insurance, we also Private Pay Rate for our services. Please contact us for more information.

What is your cancellation policy?

B.A.T.A. Developmental Services LLC requires a minimum of 24-hour notice to cancel a session.

We are committed to providing consistent and reliable services as scheduled and agreed upon by the Client/family. Upon initial treatment, a preliminary set of hours/days for ABA services are discussed. Changes with this schedule will require notice. Regular attendance is essential in achieving progress in your child’s sessions.

Do you take photos and videos of my child’s sessions?

We frequently take photographs and/or video recordings of therapy sessions. We review the photos and videos and are happy to share them with you upon request. The primary use of these images is for education and training, so that we can provide the best possible therapy for your child. Videos are reviewed by our BCBA and the clinical team as a way to enhance supervision, collaboration, and treatment.

A critical part of this includes showing video segments of parents, ABA therapists, and children engaged in the program. These videos and images illustrate developmental levels and treatment techniques and help demonstrate how to work with the broad array of children with ASD and other challenging behaviors. With your consent, we may also use these videos in our marketing materials and social media platforms (facebook, website, etc).
